Dawson K9 Solutions
Helping make life better for you and your dog.
Our Story
I have always enjoyed helping others, and dog training is no different. I bring this desire and experience, coupled with a principled operant approach to training that meets the needs of you and your pet.
I started training my dogs at a big box store and realized there was a lot more to it. Soon enough, I sought out experts in canine services to further my knowledge and understanding.
My education began with exploratory courses from Delaware Valley University, Westmoreland County Animal Response Team, and the Karen Pryor Academy, to Duke’s Dog Emotion and Cognition Coursera program. I have completed programs at elite training facilities across the United States, like Logan Haus Kennels and the Michael Ellis School. I have trained dogs for Obedience Training Class of Harrisburg, and Dog T.A.G.S. (Train Assist Guide Serve), and assisted as an A.K.C. obedience trial steward.

As a lifelong pet owner, I understand the value a canine companion can bring into our lives.

Our Philosophy
Like people, dogs are all different, and there is no cookie-cutter approach. Successful training comes from building a structure that works in the context of your everyday life.
It starts by learning what goals you have in mind for you and your dog. Are there behaviors that trigger stress? We will help you find ways to manage those situations and triggers.
My goal is to help you live successfully with your pet while building an engaging relationship that is mutually beneficial.
Choosing a Trainer
Before you choose a trainer, do your homework and ask yourself:
- Who are they? Look for a name find out more about them.
- Can I trust them with my dog or around my family?
- What are their credentials? What is their education?
- What are their training philosophies?
*I am Child Protective Services Law compliant.
